We always order A1 specimens from our suppliers and for the most part
that is exactly what they ship. Considering that these butterflies were
at one time living, lived a complete life, and are shipped from all
over the world it is inevitable that some will arrive slightly less
than perfect. The most common deficiency is a broken or missing
antennae. This is because the antennae are the weakest and most
delicate part of the butterfly. This does occur and is considered
normal. Should your specimen have a missing or broken antennae, please
remember that it is not out of the ordinary.
We take great strides in carefully packaging the cases for shipment,
occasionally damage in transit can occur. For this reason insurance is
always mandatory and included in shipping calculations. |
